4.0 out of 5 stars Steep learning curve 14 April 2011
Platform for Display:Nintendo 3DS
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Have to disagree with the earlier review saying how difficult this is. Yes, at first (probably the hardest football game I've ever played) but once you get used to it you can perform mazy dribbles, acrobatic volleys and neat slotted finishes. Graphics are like old PS2 versions but crisper and more defined. Sound is good with a decent commentary. I would've given it 5 stars were it not for the fact that occasionally it penalises you for a foul when you're nowhere near the ball. More a frustration than a major annoyance. Overall a great game...seems PES may have found its feet again after a couple of years in the wilderness.

4.0 out of 5 stars FunFunFun 14 April 2011
Platform for Display:Nintendo 3DS
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This game is amazing but it has it's flaws which is why I've given it 4/5.
There is no online play which surprised me because with super street fighter iv for the 3ds their is online play, perhaps later games in the pro series or the up coming fifa will have online play.

Another flaw is there is no training mode I'm not very good at football games so I like to play training mode to brush up on my skills.

It seems the psp version has more features than the 3ds, however playing in 3d makes a world of difference (for me anyway) I find it easier to pass and shoot because of the 3d you get more depth into your surroundings. Some times though the 3d can work against you for example when you opponent has the ball the camera angles change and before you see what's going on your opponent has scored.

Like every game out there though you learn and get used to situations like the camera angles.

I read a review here were a guy complained that it was too hard to score goals personally I don't agree although I do find it hard to score with free kicks.

This is a fun title and much better than I thought the first time you see the players in 3d you'll know what I mean. : )

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Pretty, and that's about it! 28 Jun 2011
Platform for Display:Nintendo 3DS
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I'll start with the best part about this game... The graphics and 3D effects. They are superb. When I saw trailers for this game before this game before the 3DS was released I thought the visuals look good. Nut they're not. For a handheld console they are amazing with the 3D turned off. When the slider is on there is a great amount of depth in the 3D visuals.

Now onto the game-play choices... Very limited if your after season mode but if your just after a football game to play then it should be the 3DS football game for you. There is only exhibition mode, UEFA Champions League, and Master League (and multi-player of course, but good luck finding a game)

And then finally comes the actual game-play. Quite poor from what I've played (10-15 games).
It's not that the game-play is bad as such its that it needs tweaking here and there. Slide tackles are hard to pull off but do look good when done successfully.
Sometimes your players first touch is like that of an U-13's game as in very wayward. Unless your controlling a player or using the button for a second defender pressure no player will make an attempt to try and get the ball even if it passes their feet. Shooting is something you need to adapt to but is good when you get it right. The goalkeepers cannot catch the ball for toffee and its far to easy to score and concede in 1 on 1 situations. The goalkeepers are poor in general.
It is also almost impossible to win a header and I (I'm not saying anyone else does but would like to know if you do) always concede from a corner if an attacker gets their head on the ball. Passing is very hit and miss, it's either superb or more wayward than you would want even a 5 year old to be able to pass. If two players are by each other good luck getting it to the one you want.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pro Evo 2011 3D.. Just Like being there! 28 Mar 2011
Platform for Display:Nintendo 3DS
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
First off I'm not one for making many reviews.. but when I can't praise a product enough I feel compelled to do so. What's the phrase "seeing is believing" well in this case YES in leaps & bounds. Words can't describe what this game is about.. it has only shown the 3ds 3d effect to the max. Let me try and describe, from what you see from when the players are lined up before the game, is a sense of depth beyond the imagination, you look at the players standing there in amazement.. they look so whole and full, sounds stupid to say but it's the best way to describe the effect. And this certainly doesn't detract from the background depth either, which is vast.

Well that's only the start.. once in play it gets even more insane! the full 360 of players in 3d is astonishing, its like running around a person in real life.. not that I would do that in real life mind you lol, but you kinda get the idea. The little things you notice but to full effect From the advert banners to the goal etc.. it definitely is pure true 3d that will leave you in ore. I just can't fault the concept apart from the sweet spot, and feeling like you've had a skin full after 30 min play.. I guess that's price you pay for this kind of technology, but from what you experience it can be forgiven. Playing in 2d is great too, graphics I would put on par with the PSP, which is a great achievement.. players look as accurate as ever, if not better. But even so it's flat! Which heightens your desire to throw it back to 3D, and take you back to this truly mesmerizing world!
