I had been fighting with a Compro S350 DVB-S PCI card in the Windows MC7 HTPC I have recently built, just could not get a glitch free picture from my perfect sky dish signal. Gave up trying in the end and not wanting to throw any more money at the thing I bought the cheapest DVB-T tuner I could find, what a difference!
Ripped it from packet, discarded the table top antenna, ignored the software/driver disc, chucked the included remote back into the jiffy bag from whence it came. Plugged my ariel into the USB receiver, plugged the USB stick into my media centre. Windows searched for a few secs, installed drivers and said it was ready to go. Into the media centre software, setup a new tuner, scanned for channels (took a while) 96 channels found.
Checked picture quality, this was where I was expecting to be let down, I was very wrong. Its perfect.
Picked myself off floor and closed mouth with hand then went and ordered 2 more!
