Interestingly I got the email from Amazon asking me to review the PCP60MM projection screen just a day after I first used it! I have an Optoma DVD projector which as part of my work I use to go around showing educational DVDs, so I wanted to get a screen that was portable and easy to manage. Didnt want any thing 'fiddly' or hard to erect so I opted for this pull-up version. It served its purpose! It is in a carrycase that I can actually carry (!), and it takes literally a few seconds to put up. I was worried the projected image might not be good or the screen might be a bit 'see-through'. Nothing of the sort. Image projection was fine. After the screening, you literally put the screen back in its integrated carry case again in a few seconds. The screen does smell of paint a bit but that might go away with use. The instructions for use were hilarious and they were obviously written by someone whose first language is not English (I think the screen was made in China). You really do not need the operating instructions anyway so you can ignore the following recommended 'Safety Proceeding': 'Avoid to using it in the vehement wind in order that getting hurt while the screen downward'!!!!

The screen seemed bigger that I had imagined it would be for some reason, but it just fits crossways in the back of my car. The plasticy smell goes away after a couple of weeks. The screen itself unrolls from the base using a single finger and retracts with a similar amount of force, the whole mechanism is nicely balanced. The reflective screen itself is at the top of a longer roll of material, so that you can use it on a table top or standing on the floor. I like the fact that the whole thing is one single component with no extras to carry around.
Only downsides are that it's a bit heavy to carry any distance (e.g. on the train) and the catches could be a little stronger, but altogether great value for money.

Thank the Gods! No more tripods with screens swinging in the draft from a doorway. No more worrying about losing a finger in lethal metal frames that collapse at frightening speed.
This portable screen goes up and comes down in seconds and is so easy to carry around. It's true that there is a strong smell of paint that takes a while to fade and the instructions were written by someone for whom English probably isn't even a second language, but these are hardly issues to moan about. It's a great design at a good price and I wish I had bought one a long time ago.

Easy transport

Easy to use
