I needed a PCI-Express riser for a mini-itx motherboard I was using in a small form factor case. It seems like not too many people need these outside of rackmount servers, so it was nice to find one to fit my needs. 16 lanes is more than I needed (I only used an x1 card) but the extra wafer sticking in the slot keeps this guy in place and my card from disconnecting due its weight and the angle it is installed at. All in all this is an awesome product.
