Nick Warren has been around for some time now, and in my opinion, always produces top quality albums/mixes.
His latest offering, based on his Paris residency, is in the mould of his previous Global Underground mix - GU24, Reykjavik.
The first disc is a down-tempo, laid-back affair. I don't think it's quite as good as CD1 of GU24, but that was absolutely outstanding, and I don't think he could have bettered that. Having said that, don't dismiss this mix!
For me though CD2 is just phenomenal. As with all good mixes, this just build and builds, with each track building on the one that preceded it. It's never plodding or cheesey - just right where it should be - pumping, shimmering and it definitely needs to be played at a high volume! I would go so far as to say CD2 is Nick's best club mix, even improving on his Shanghai mix. Listening to this CD reminded me of Sasha before he went all wierd with the Ableton.
