In a bid to avoid others making the same mistake I did - do double check your door depth before ordering.

These were far too narrow to accommodate my planned 'ironing' door.

Not a fault of the product or description, clearly states 3.5cm - I just didn't check assuming my 'average doors' would be fine. So make sure you measure!

Have put to use elsewhere and they are certainly robust so confident will stand the test of time.

Great price so off to look for wider ones with same design.

I have had this type of door hook for years and recently bought 2 more. I use them when hanging clothes to dry after laundering; after ironing; and when drying off [outer] clothes when caught in the rain - a great hook to allow my Backhouse to drip dry! They are also useful when packing to go away on holiday - when you can sort out what you are/not taking with you. I have noticed that the 2 Super Strong Over Door Hooks have more space between each hook, therefore allowing more air to circulate between drying clothes. I hang my hooks at the handle end of each door rather than the hinge end - that way the door can almost be closed. [useful when necessary. A very versatile product.

When I saw these door overhangers immediately placed an order as I rent a room and don't think the landlord would take kindly to a 'screw in' jacket/dressing gown hook on the back of the door.
The items were delivered as advertised and I was eager to try out my new 'gadget'. They are made of 'plastic' material which is quite sturdy, despite being fairly light in weight.
Sadly the section of the hook that hangs over the top of the door was too narrow for the door. Secondly, if it had fitted, it would have fouled the top door gap meaning the hinges would need adjusting - not the easiest of tasks.
I ended up using one on my cupboard door which works even though, in this case, the door is bit narrow. A little packing is required. The other cupboard door has a frosted glass panel and I didn't want to chance my luck.
The over door hook is a great idea but is not as simple solution as it looks. The one I have up works well and currently has 2 pairs of trousers, a shirt and dressing gown hanging from it.
As to not fitting over the doors either the hook or the door are not 'standard' width. Of course this could be country standards thing (UK, USA, China, etc.)
Nice idea but ingenuity needed to make them work!

I bought iron hooks years ago and the difference between the one I have left and these is incredible. Quality isn't the same on anything anymore. People refer to checking width of door and please do that because you don't want to throw away approx £10. My kitchen doors are thick fire doors so of course they didn't fit so one is redundant and the other I use as temporary basis over my wardrobe door, so when I take clothing up to bedroom I put them on the hook until I put them inside. I press my work clothes everyday so I don't use them as ironing hooks but there is always one (my original) on my kitchen door that I use all the time and it looks 'bright' white as new as the day I bought it, unlike these horrible grey things which are bit of eye sore actually but then it all depends what you want, perfect if have narrow door, use them for ironing and then put them away which after all that's what they're for. Just a bit ugly in my view and although I've seen better looking and I've yet to find as good a quality as my original ones.

These would be good if my doors were the right width. Doors need to be <3.5cm wide for this to fit

OK so it's not going to win any prizes for its aesthetic beauty, but it's certainly a very useful item nevertheless - especially when ironing shirts, etc. Also as wardrobe "overflow" - particularly when having a lot of visitors overnight.

Cheap as chips (there are 2 in the pack), useful, easily moveable, and strong enough to hold several items - and with a little bit of blutack on the top of the door to prevent it from going walkabout and/or tilting upwards and catching on the doorframe, it's just the job. On thinner doors a little wadge of folded paper/kitchen roll between its long vertical edge and the door will keep it in place and prevent it from sliding/tilting.

I purchased 2 super strong over the door hooks to hang my ironing up on. Yes they can hold a lot of items, however, there is a major defect in its design. I assume that the doors in my house are of a normal "thickness", however, the bracket that fits over the door was loose and did not fit snuggly. Once a few shirts were hung up on the hook, the weight of the shirts tilted the bracket forward, which made it impossible to shut the door. I did try to shut the door but I broke the bracket. I have one hook remaining, with many clothes hanging from it on an open door!

Unfortunately they did not fit on any of my doors in my house as the bit that fits over the top of the door was not wide enough. As far as I know my doors are a standard thickness. I returned them and got a refund without any fuss.

Great for long dresses which are too long for the wardrobe. Does exactly what I wanted them to do. Easy to fit.

Wanted to hang various light toys/distractions over a baby changing table from an adjacent indoor screen and these fitted the bill - the main part of the body is about 16cm long i.e. when hanging something from the [middle of the curved hook] it is about 14cm from the screen which gives enough space for things to rotate

They look strong - probably would like them to be longer but didn't see anything suitable
