From the Author

I fell in love with Australian wine many years ago sitting naked on a beach in Sydney harbour drinking Grange Hermitage and Rouge Homme out of plastic cups. Wine never tasted better. I was blown away by Australia's unique combination of dedication to quality winemaking with joyous irreverence towards the act of drinking wine. And even today, when so much Australian wine - as elsewhere, it must be said - is produced by global companies as global brands, Australia is still throbbing with wonderful individuals joyously making wonderful individual wines. And long may that continue.
