I bought this item because i suffer adult acne mainly on my jawline and neck but recently it was coming up on my cheeks i have tried a few products but nothing lasts long so thought i would give oxy ago and i really REALLY wish i didn't! i used it morning and night for one day followed by the cooling balm i woke yesterday morning to tight dry skin around my nose by the evening i was in A&E my face had swollen it is red raw and very painful i was given E45 cream and told to see my gp first thing this morning. woke up this morning and my skin was itchy lumpy red and is so dry its cracked, my eyes had swollen almost shut i am in so much pain! my doctor has given me painkillers a aloe vera cream to calm the itching i am taking allegy tablets and anti biotics incase of infection. The allergy tablets have taken some of the swelling down but my skin has become droopy around my mouth and eyes i look 60 but i am 27! please please don't buy this product!

I'd purchased this product under the pretence that it contained natural ingredients (seaweed), was alcohol free and okay for sensitive skin. After using this for 2 or 3 days I developed a rash all over my face which resembled tiny blisters. It was incredibly sensitive, red and burned every time I put something on my face including water and E45 cream. My eyes also became puffy/swollen and itchy. Antihistamines didn't get rid of it and after a consultation with my doctor I was prescribed steroids to get rid of the inflammation.

Once this rash disappeared after a week, I tried using the facewash again. At this point I wasn't sure if it was this product that caused it or not. I started developing the same reaction and stopped using it immediately.

After some research, it seems it might be the ingredients Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone in combination that causes the reaction. It's used in place of parabens (which this product clearly states it does not contain). It's known to be a skin irritant and can cause chemical burns in high concentrations. If you react to this product it might be worth looking at other products that contain the same ingredients to see if you get the same reaction.

If you purchase this product, I'd recommend trying it on a sensitive patch of skin elsewhere to see if you react as everyone's body is different.

1.0 out of 5 stars not good. 17 April 2012

okay, so I had rated this product okay before, but i've used it for a few days now and it is far too harsh on the skin. It actually leaves your skin in pain after washing with this, and you cant apply any type of moisturiser or anything because it stings too much.
maybe its just me, but I definitley do not reccommend this product at all.
Quinoderm face wash (which you can also buy on amazon) is much better and it is also cheaper too.
this face wash is more like an exfoliator, that slowly removes all your skin cells. (dead and alive) T.T
