I'd purchased this product under the pretence that it contained natural ingredients (seaweed), was alcohol free and okay for sensitive skin. After using this for 2 or 3 days I developed a rash all over my face which resembled tiny blisters. It was incredibly sensitive, red and burned every time I put something on my face including water and E45 cream. My eyes also became puffy/swollen and itchy. Antihistamines didn't get rid of it and after a consultation with my doctor I was prescribed steroids to get rid of the inflammation.
Once this rash disappeared after a week, I tried using the facewash again. At this point I wasn't sure if it was this product that caused it or not. I started developing the same reaction and stopped using it immediately.
After some research, it seems it might be the ingredients Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone in combination that causes the reaction. It's used in place of parabens (which this product clearly states it does not contain). It's known to be a skin irritant and can cause chemical burns in high concentrations. If you react to this product it might be worth looking at other products that contain the same ingredients to see if you get the same reaction.
If you purchase this product, I'd recommend trying it on a sensitive patch of skin elsewhere to see if you react as everyone's body is different.
