I very much enjoyed reading this book about murders done local to where I live. The author lays out the material to make it easy to understand what happened and when, and it is certainly carefully researched in those cases I know about in which my grandfather was an investigating police officer. I was disappointed that the Burford murder ("The Sausage Sandwich Murder") did not mention the crucial wireless appeal broadcast by the British Broadcasting Corporation in 1931. This was one of the earliest such appeals. Well worth buying if you like this sort of thing.
