an instalment about mother-daughter relationships,
By
This review is from: Oxford Shift (Paperback)
Kate Ivory, writer of historical romances, is offered a chance to earn some extra cash in the run up to Christmas by a friend who knows her penchant for sleuthing. Emma's mum has gone missing and Kate is asked to look for her. She's aided in this by her own mother. It seems Joyce Fielding was bored by a life in which she was taken for granted by the rather arrogant Emma - but where has she gone and is she in danger?I like the witty style of these books and I also liked the underlying theme of this one - Kate and her mother hadn't seen each other for some time and Roz reappeared in the last book. Now they must rebuild a relationship. Now I need to catch up with the next 3, I'd got a bit behind with these books.

Very much a Veronica Stallwood book. It visits with many of the old friends and introduces new characters. Of course mystery is the main menu but the ending is pure cliff hanger!!!
