By Mist of Time TOP 1000 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The bright clear layout of that makes it easy for a child (KS2/KS3) to pick up and use. It is brightly coloured, and sections are broken up with boxed items and graphics which stop this appearing like yet another dictionary.

We found this could be used for homework straight away and is proving a great vocabulary builder.

Brilliant! 19 July 2009
Format:Hardcover
Just brilliant! I bought this for our 8 year old daughter and found it to be far more than I expected. Clearly displayed and colourful. Loved the idea that some of the words show opposites and some of the words are described in sentences to help children understand. At the back of the book it also has suggestions for writing letters, exploring nouns, punctuation , suffixes, similies, etc, etc. Would recommend this to all primary children as a great aid with literacy.

Very Junior! 11 Nov 2009
Format:Paperback
Bought this for my Year 5 daughter to use at school. She has now brought it home for her Year 2 sister instead! Although wonderfully laid out, with lots of great tips for good writing, the actual range of alternative vocabulary is very limited. Will now be seeking an alternative.
