This is an oddity: an atlas for very little kids. While it's intended for kids in British "infant schools" (meaning for kids between ages 4 and 7), it could be used for even younger kids. It's really not an atlas so much as an introduction to the world and to maps and globes. The concept is nice: it systematically introduces first maps and the whole world, then Europe, then Great Britain, then the U.K., giving just a few choice pieces of information. The editor definitely understands "Less is more." But it is not a reference book and calling it an "atlas" is a little misleading. It's really a very first geography book (for Brits, but Americans like me might appreciate it too).
