I am riding motorbike all year and before i purchased this item i have never believed it can work. My collegue has got one like that and said to me '' I have to try it '' It is superb thing to have on motorbike. It is not dificult to fitt it on to bike, just follow the instructions. I have got Hornet 07 and i have not had a problem to fit it.

My experience of hand warmers has mostly been disappointing - it's a rare product that heats right to the finger tips and does away with pain you get when riding in (for me) sub 5 degree C temps. I used to be glad of catching a red light so I could warm my hands on the engine! Previous products included "warm thrus" glove heaters - no matter how hot, still didn't reach finger tips; glove liners with element all round finger tips - best but not very robust - couple of years and they developed hot spots that caused heat blistering; Oxford "Hot Hands" that wrap around existing grips - nowhere near hot enough. It was my experience of "Hot Hands" that almost made me not bother with these - how much hotter could they be? LOADS! Four heat settings, and 15 mins into journey on hottest and you'll probably want to turn them down a notch. OK to fit - as long as you can find a route for the cabling - on Honda CB500 I took the petrol tank off to route. The cables to the grips are plenty long enough, the third cable running from the box with the buttons to the main control box is less so - make sure you have the cable routes sorted before sticking anything down. The grips certainly appear very robust - assuming these last, and certainly based on their effectiveness, I'd recommend these to anyone, and along with a Scott-oiler, would be an item I'd install on any bike I had.

Grips were not the easiest to get on to the bars. They were that tight that if I had stuck glue on them they would have been stuck fast by the time they were half way on. Check the fit before putting glue near them. Mine are on minus any glue and are way tight enough to prevent them spinning on the bars. If they start spinning then you can add some glue later. Once on though they work a treat. Also consider a set of bar muffs to keep the wind off the hands as the grips only keep the hand contact patch warm and not the outside.

I didn't use heated grips for years because they are for old men! I was given a set for Christmas one year and thay sat on the shelf for 3 years because I wasn't that old.

Since fitting them reluctantly I have bought and fitted them to all my other bikes they are one of the best products around. I have ridden 20,000miles with them with no problems. They extend the amount of days that riding is a pleasure.

Easy to fit, easy to use. Buy some and ride more.

a friend of mine was jealous as he had paid twice the price for a dealer's fitted heated grips and his maximum setting was barely warmer than my grips set on 2 (out of 4 levels); I have had it for over a year now and they work as new; one advice - get a small relay so you can switch it off with the ignition key, you can find plenty of instructions on the internet

I ride a Honda Pan European ST1100 on a 110 mile round commute every day of the year, barring deep snow so warm hands are an important thing to me.

My Honda grips slowly failed until I had to bite the bullet and get replacements.

No problems fitting these, the longest part was taking the fairing panels off to route the cabling. Instructions are simple - but so's fitting them!!

Performance wise - absolutely love them!! I use them in conjunction with a pair of Tucano Urbano muffs and as a result have never had to use setting 4, I've only used number 3 on a few occasions (-3 and below) - otherwise 1 or 2 is fine for me. Controls are a tad fiddly with gloves on, but the indicators are great and you always know what setting you're on.

That's my only real gripe with them, one other niggle is the block where the wires come out of the grip - its very large and solid, and its unlikely the grips will fail do to wiring problems - but it made it slightly awkward with the muffs, a bit of fiddling and all is well though...

All in all - very satisfied, expensive (not as expensive as replacement Honda ones though) but the quality and reliability are excellent.

If you get cold hands - get these, the moral boost alone warms the rest of your body up!!!
