A useful manual for the professional as well as student maritime archaeologist. Thank you for adding to the literature of a growing sub-discipline.
Ponderous with flashes of brilliance 25 Dec. 2012

Knowing the primary author personally, I am loathe to criticize, that said, the quality of the chapters, each written by a different author varies tremendously. Some are verbose, complex and overly dense, others flow and get the job done. As an editor I would ask Donnie to flog the crew more and distribute the rum less.
