I only speak very little french but with this little book I managed hold a good conversation with french people on my visit to France. It has made me want to learn more. It is clear and concise with useful tips to support you in a number of likely situations. I always had in to hand as it fitted comfortably in my handbag. I don't know what I would have done without it...a great buy!!

By no means an exhausting reference on French but the amount of words in it, taking in mind that it is a bidirectional dictionary (French-English,English-French) and very portable (small, light fonts are great)

it's ok if you use it to travel around, to bring it in your pocket, plus have conjugated verbs, but not for studying advanced french. It's between beginners-intermediate level.

Neat but typeface too small
handy / portable / good layout but i foudn the typeface a little bit too small - ok, it's gotta be compact but I think they took that too far...
