Oxford Diecast 1:76 Scale - Austin 18 Ambulance
Diecast Model with clear presentation box and removable plastic plinth. Part of the Oxford Diecast Railway Scale range.
The new Austin 18 Ambulance will appeal to model enthusiasts of the 1930s period and will sit very nicely on railway layouts of the era.
This typical ambulance of the period was manufactured in 1938 and had an unladen weight of 1 ton 12 cwt. It was converted by Thomas Startin Jnr, a firm still in business today and was used specifically as a Rolls-Royce works ambulance at Crewe, where it remained until 1970. Now in retirement, our Austin 18 Ambulance resides with the Northampton Veteran Ambulance Society but is given an airing at various vintage vehicles events during the season, so look out for it. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ITEM IS NOT INTENDED TO BE A TOY, THIS ITEM IS FOR COLLECTORS. MINIMUM AGE RECOMMENDED 14.
