Product Description

'Oxbridge Baby - Learn to Talk', is a unique DVD that uses a combination of sounds, music, visual stimulation and basic sign language to introduce your little one to a variety of vocabulary as they learn to say their first words. Created in conjunction with Gillian Hart, Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist, she has also recorded a special parents tutorial on the DVD to help adults discover the most effective techniques that can be used to encourage speech in their little ones. Designed for children aged 6 months plus this DVD works on a number of levels to stimulate development rather than simply being a passive experience. These unique qualities mean that children can watch 'Oxbridge Baby - Learn to Talk' again and again and get something new out of it each and every time.

A M A Z I N G !!! 19 Feb 2010
Format:DVD
Wow. I have 2yr 8mth twin boys who are speech delayed. After doing lots of research and reading the reviews, I ordered this DVD. I am very negative about all this stuff and was thinking there is no way they will like it, no way they will learn to talk or sign from it. How wrong I was.

After watching this DVD 6 times, they are BOTH responding amazingly well. One, who was very behind, is making noises & signing away and the other, who has limited speech just loves it.

Its brilliant.

At last a baby DVD that actually does what it says on the cover! I think we must have been one of the first families to get a copy of `Learn to Talk' and what an amazing find it has been. So why is it so good? Well on some levels it's the same as Baby Einstein in as much as there are some parts where you see brightly coloured toys and shapes etc, but the other parts are totally different and that's what makes it special.

To start with there is a woman who appears every few scenes to show us either a facial expression/sound or introduce a new word through very basic sign language. There are also a number of real farm animals that appear to a cute version of Old MacDonald (which our youngest especially liked). We have not seen anything quite like this DVD before and for us it has been a breath of fresh air.

One other feature to mention is the excellent parents tutorial. Basically this is a voice over from the speech therapist who (as she tells us) helped to create the title. To be honest this was probably worth the cost of the DVD alone as for about 20 minutes she tells you what the best techniques are to help your baby talk. Overall this is a great title and a welcome addition to the ever-expanding baby DVD market.

A MUST BUY. 28 Jun 2009
Format:DVD
I brought this DVD for my 20 month old son who had a development delay. This DVD worked wonders for him. He was almost entranced when I put it on, and within a small amount of time, was pointing, copying, and trying to say individual words. He has come on a bundle, and I put it all down to this DVD. A definate favourite for him and me!!!
