A Life-changing read, 25 April 2005
By A Customer
I suddenly found myself searching the outer echelons of Amazon to find a method for dealing with what was a bad Jealousy problem. I found this gem by Dr Windy Dryden and have to say that if you're prepared to put in the time and effort that this is a life changing course of self therapy. It is excellently written, in simple concise terms. And most of all it works. Don't be put off by the frank and sometimes difficult read to begin with as it develops in to a positive and practical guide to how to overcome your issues. I'd recommend this to anyone. You find yourself adopting the strategies he discusses, and they get in to your subconscious and help you all the way through every day. It really is the key to a better, more peaceful and happier life. It was the best £6.99 I've ever spent in my life. If you've got as far as searching for books on the subject you're already on the way to helping yourself, this book is just the next step.

Overcoming jealousy, 26 Sep 2011
This book could have been wrote for me. Wish I had discovered it years ago. It makes you realise this is a problem that you create yourself only you don't realise it. I have cried buckets of tears; jealousy is a very lonely place, as knowbody wants to admit this weakness. I feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders as somebody understands MY problem and I am not alone.

Repetitive, not particulary helpful, dry, dull, 21 Sep 2007
Although this book uses the the reasonably well established method of REBT (Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy) as its core, I found its style very dry - it reads like a scientific report. It is also repetitive in the extreme, and will use an extraordinary amount of words when a simple diagram would have illustrated the point much more concisely.
There is some useful stuff in here, but it tends to concentrate on dealing with the symptoms of jealousy, rather than the causes.
I found that reading "deeper" material, (i.e. books about psychology) to be much more helpful. I might politely point the reader toward "The Road Less Travelled" by M. Scott Peck - some other people I know have found "The Successful Self" by Dorothy Rowe to helpful.
