5.0 out of 5 stars The basis of my recovery 15 Mar 2010
Format:Paperback
This is a great self help book and of paramount importance to those who suffer from this insane condition. When I bought it and read it I just knew it was going to be the turning point in my recovery and I laughed with happiness, albeit a depersonalized laugh. This book goes deep into CBT from a depersonalized point of view and you can begin to recover from wherever you are in your illness.

No nonsense. Buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for any DPAFU sufferer 5 Sep 2010
By Jimmy
Format:Paperback
I have suffered from DPAFU (Depersonalization & Feelings of Unreality) for about 5 years. This book will not give you a miracle cure but what it will give you is understanding. Once you understand something it becomes much easier to deal with and far less frightening. I guess every sufferer has different thoughts/ anxieties/ symptoms etc so it's pretty much impossable for a book to target exactly what your situation is, but it does a very good job at giving examples that you can relate to. For the few quid it's going to cost you to buy this book, and the little bit of effort it's going to take to read it and complete the excersises, it's more than worth it. As soon as I finished it i went back over most of the book again as I felt I really wanted to make sure it all stuck in my head! There were bits of the book where I would literally be stopped in my tracks by how much the last sentance hit me. Like a real "oh my God, that's so true!" moment. In summery, buy it and read it asap. You'll come away from the experience better off. Good luck!
