Product Description

Already a leading jockey in his home country, Jake Felton comes to England to further his career and avoid confrontation with New York's racing mafia. But his plans to combine the life of an English squire with that of a top-flight jockey look like coming to a sticky end when he falls victim to a series of accidents that begin to seem all too deliberate. Aided and abetted by typical English rose Camilla Fielding, Jake discovers that he's been targeted by a ruthless and professional killer. And now he urgently needs to find out why...

pulsating ride 10 April 2006
Format:Paperback
This book by Francome is a true work of excellent thriller writing. A shock to the system in that Francome transcends from a champion jockey/pundit into a stealthy thriller writer. The story revolves around an american jockey finding his way in the racing game in the uk with a few bumps along the way. severe bumps to say the least, murder, mystery and suspense make this a constant page turner. Francomes' knowledge of this world and his narrative of race action throughout the book adds to the excitement and thrill of the chase. This book is appealing to everybody who likes a good read with a bit of action, horse racing is secondary and merely just a background canvas to this great thriller
