I really enjoyed this story. It is very well-written. The story has an authentic flavor of the Old West, and Lola is quite a character, very colorful and strong-willed. I loved it when she turned down the offer of a modest dress to wear to the gallows, and insisted on wearing her fashionable taffeta and lace dress.
The plot was interesting and the story was fast-paced. It ended too soon. Wish it had been longer. It would be great if the author would expand this story into a full-length novel someday, and tell us more about Lola's adventures in Europe and the West.
