The Outback Spectrum range is taking the barbecue market by storm. This lovely looking barbecue is made from a mix of wood and metal and comes in a sleek black colour. This Outback Spectrum three-burner barbecue is great gas hooded model. It features three stainless steel burners, a one-piece porcelain-enamelled hood, two porcelain-coated grills, a porcelain-coated griddle, flame tamers, a warming rack, Integra spark rotary ignition and hose assembly.
A distinctive Outback feature, the one-piece porcelain-enamelled hood is corrosion and acid-resistant, as well as heat and flame-proof so it won’t blister under high temperatures. The hood is also easy to clean and makes the barbecue ideal for roasting, griddling or even baking. The Outback hooded models are so versatile that, once you have finished cooking, you can turn off the barbecue and pull down the hood, and the food sitting on the grills and griddles will keep warm for a good 30 minutes afterwards. The grills are made from cast iron, a material that is renowned for its durability and can retain heat for longer than standard chrome grills. We have coated these cast iron cooking surfaces in porcelain to make them 100 per cent rust-proof. The Outback Spectrum features top-quality stainless steel burners, which provide optimum heat output, longevity and performance. It also has a swing-away warming rack, which is ideal for increasing your overall cooking area. You can place food on this rack once it has been cooked, leaving the grills and griddles free for actual cooking. Food placed on the warming rack will stay warm with the heat of the main cooking area.

Bought one five years back, and it was put away every winter. This year one burner wouldn't light, so looked under the burner (which was very rusty) and found the hidden part of the bbq had rusted through. The whole thing is so rotten it has been junked. should last longer than this at the price.

Nice but expensive BBQ. Easy to operate and clean. Good instructions for building. Cover looked good quality but lasted one winter, all the stiching rotted rubbish .Plenty of BBQ's of similar quality for a lot less to choose from.

Our Spectrum is less than three years old.After spotting a problem with one of the burners a closer inspection showed that it had completely rusted through and broken in two. One other burner is close behind. Buying replacement burners at GBP20 each might have been an option. However, the fittings that they attach to are so badly rusted the old burners can't be removed and would likely fall apart if an attempt to fit new ones were made. In short, this BBQ is only good for scrap after less than 3 years. Not a recommendation to buy an Outback Spectrum.
