My criteria: I wanted a grill that would, most of the time, cater for 1-2 people. I also wanted to be able to cook for a larger amount of people, in the event of having guests or a party for example.
I quickly decided that the cheap special offers in local stores weren't worth the money - I've had cheap charcoal-based grills before, and they're often only good for one season, as the steel is so thin they burn and/or rust through very quickly indeed.
The Outback Hunter also has a hood so roasting as well as grilling is an option. A griddle means I can also cook small items that would normally fall through the bars, and I can even fry eggs if I wish. Great if I decide to have breakfast in the back yard.
It was easy to put together, and I had my first rib-eye cooking on it about an hour after it was delivered.
I would definitely recommended this product.
