A scientist discovers time is actually fluid; past, present, and future all exist at the same time. What he doesn't know, is if the current timeline can change when something is changed in the past. The US government wants him to find out. The theme being to make right what once went wrong. The time travelers meet all sorts of 20th century icons, from the Titanic to Anne Frank to Roswell to the Apollo 13. However, someone is trying to stop them, and the future may never be the same again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Totally unreadable 4 Oct 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I tried, I really did, but I had to give up after struggling through 13% of this novel.

I guess that this could be a good tale, albeit a considerably shorter one, if the author employed the services of an editor.

Both the grammar and narrative actually hurt my eyes after a while, with the continued repeating of descriptions from one sentence to the next, sometimes not even using different words, just changing the order.

I may try again one day, when I'm very drunk and have run out of other things to read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved the story 16 Aug 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I downloaded the sample and have to say the first two pages hooked me and I knew then that I would have to read the whole story.

I enjoyed the story, and thought it very interesting in regard to the 'missions' and how they were dealt with. I did feel this was in a 'telling not showing' style, but I couldn't fault the actual story and loved the ending. It was exactly my cup of tea and I throughly enjoyed it.

Considering time travel has been done a lot in books, I found this angle unique and liked the way the author tied it all together. Once I started the story I had trouble putting it down.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sorry, not worth the money 30 Mar 2008

I applaud the author for this piece, but unfortunately this fails to meet the grade. He combines themes and ideas from Star Trek and Back to the Future along with some originality. The writing ranges from interesting to downright boring. I felt as though I was reading something written by 2 people combined into one. Too little time is spent on what would be interesting parts. The ending completely falls apart. I skimmed the ending in shear frustration.
Need to expand the idea, more time in the past with the events. Get rid of the "Star Trek" terminology. The idea of slingshot around the sun is trite. The ending needs to be far more interesting. It completely falls apart- obviously rushed to complete the tale. A more subtle finish with a better twist. I'd rather a longer book than this. And while you spent a lot of time on this (wordplay here) I am not happy I spent 7.20. That is a price of a real book....

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Time On This One 17 Aug 2011

First, apologies to the auther...I'm sure you tried hard and it's admirable that you wrote and published a book.

Where to begin? Ok, the author draws heavily from other popular science fiction, without making an effort to explore any original ideas. There's almost no character development and the author just assumes everyone knows what he's thinking on the parts left out.

The various conversations that take place read as if a 6th grader was trying hard to use direct speech to impress his English teacher.

This is one of the few books I was not able to finish - life is just too short!

2.0 out of 5 stars Needs a Little More Work 15 Nov 2010

I love all things related to time travel, that being said I was a little disappointed with this book.It starts out okay but quickly goes down hill. Halfway through the book it felt like it ran out of ideas and became a race to get to the end of the book.
The dialog seems a little forced and slightly old fashioned. It reminded me of Sci-fi books written it the 1960s.
The action scenes are the same formula over and over again. Not very exciting or unexpected, just flat. To me it seemed to just rushed.
