Product Description

Jenna McCay is a street cop in Nashville when a secret government agency discovers her ability to make herself invisible and coerces her to come work for them in exchange for information on her missing father, a soldier who disappeared overseas when she was young. She's thought him dead all these years, but this agency has information pointing to the possibility that he's still alive. But she has to go undercover in the White House to get that information from them. Her job is to find out who inside the White House is sending threatening letters to the president from within the building. Jenna also has to deal with her attraction toward and suspicion of the agent assigned to her, Daniel Webster (and yes, that's his name, a fact of which she makes fun). In the course of the investigation, she discovers she's not the only person with her ability, and that it has something to do with the Project Athena experiments that were done on soldiers, her father among them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced read 6 Nov 2011

Have some spare time to read this, as you won't want to put it down. Jenna, a street cop, has the ability to become invisible, and once 'the agency' finds out about her ability, she's pressed into service to save the President from assassination. It would be easy to find out if she's placed in the White House, but mopping floors and cleaning up messes in conference rooms doesn't give her much of a chance to turn invisible. I don't want to put any spoilers out there, so I won't.

I finished the book in one day because it was engrossing. It looks like this is a series and I'll be waiting for the next book.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great beginning to an exciting new series 29 July 2012

Nashville beat cop Jenna McCay has worked all of her life to stay under the radar - her ability to make herself invisible at will is a skill the government would quite literally kill for. When she inadvertantly reveals her powers during a bank heist, Jenna reluctantly agrees to work for a covert government agency in exchange for her continued freedom, as well as information about her missing father. Working undercover in the White House, Jenna's mission is to uncover who is behind a series of threats against the president's life - someone with access to the inside. Guided by mysterious (and sexy) fellow agent Daniel Webster - gotta love THAT name - Jenna races against the clock to save the president and herself.

I enjoyed the suspense and action in this fast-paced read. My only complaint were a few formatting errors, but honestly, I've found that in eBooks from major publishers. I look forward to the next installment, where we'll likely learn more about the government experiments that gave Jenna and others like her their gifts, the sinister agency that recruits and controls these reluctant agents by threats against loved ones, and Jenna's father. Naturally, I do hope Miss Trish explores the chemistry between Jenna and Daniel (hint hint)!

Definitely a thrilling a fun read worthy of 4 1/2 stars! I recommend it :)

Not a great book, but was satisfied with how it ended and liked the character. Not the best read, but it kept my attention throughout. Compare to Covert Affairs TV Series.
