Short like Seagull. Suggests we should all trust our feelings. Especialy in this superficial age we live in.

I was curious to see how Richard Bach's ideas had developed, but this was not even a decent rehash. It took me 20 minutes to read, was trivial, uninspired and unconvincing, especially the pseudo-British dialogue and continual reference to 'those dark eyes' of the 'herione'...

Where do those moments of inspiration come from? When after hours, days or sometimes years, the solution to that niggling problem just pops into your head? Mr Prachett says that they wander randomly through space until they collide with something, although unfortunately this is as likely to be a brick as a creature. Richard Bach finds another plane for his moments of brilliance.

It is true that this story is short, but it is still beautifully crafted and brilliantly conceived. In common with all of Richard Bach's work it will allow you to see things from a new perspective and thats the point isn't it?
