This is more like it. This is music you can believe in. Not only because the two teenagers behind I Was A Cub Scout have got to this point, releasing proper their third proper single, without a single board of major-label advisors or fashion-conscious marketing men but because, for all their successes so far, there is not a jot of arrogance here. This is sublime and striking pop-laced innocence where there are no clues that Todd Marriott or William Bowerman have any idea how huge they are going to get. To put it bluntly, I Was A Cub Scout are the future sound of your stereo. Melodic, electronic, fragile, emotional and yet utterly commanding, this might be the first you've heard of them but it comes with every recommendation and the power to change the world. Pete Doherty can burn in hell.
