Squirrel tries to remove the apple but things don't go quite as planned and soon Hedgehog has a juicy red apple and three brown nuts stuck on her back. So Pig and Frog try to help too...
About the Author
Ragnhild Scamell was born in Denmark but soon found her way across the North Sea to her adopted country, England, where she lives with her husband and pets. All her animal books are based on real events. Michael Terry was born in Folkestone and studied Graphic Design & Illustration at Folkestone Art School. He has been a successful illustrator for over thirty years, recently illustrating many books for children.

It was the vibrant cover illustration that made me pick this book up in the first place, but it's the lovely rollalong story that's proved so popular with my grandson, who now 'reads' it along with me. The resolution of Hedgehog's problem wasn't at all what I'd been expecting and, after that surprise, the final illustration makes a perfect ending. It even encourages a small boy to snuggle down to sleep!

Very nice and easy read before a bedtime. Nice and short story with beautiful illustration. That's been number one choice of my daughter for already several month.
The only thing: she now confuses a title of the book with animal, so all of the hedgehogs are now called "Ouch". I will have to work on this :)

I enjoyed reading this book to my daughter,and she really enjoyed it to the pictures were nice to look at and the words were not to small so she could pick out certain words aswell
