I love my iphone 4, but the latest design has taken it to the top of accidental damage charts and with the cost of the dang thing makes people nervous about using it. Not what you want from a phone.
I no longer have to carry my iphone round like it is a Ming dynasty vase thanks to the Otterbox Impact case. It won't provide 100% protection, but a drop from a few feet should no longer smash the screen and back to kingdom come.
The design is a bit more bulky then I thought it would be, but the main thing about an iphone for me is what I can do with it, not what it looks like (This helps though).
For the price it can't be beat!

Expectations:
I bought this item to protect my iPhone when dropped. My previous iphone (1st generation) had a hard cover that rubbed and ultimately damaged the finish of the phone, the case also separated when dropped. Having dropped the New phone (inevitable), I was pleasantly surprised when it bounced; although I don't intend to adopt this as a pass time.
Fit:
A screen protector is in place and the clear protection on the back of the phone has also been retained but cleared around the camera and the charging area. The case is a 'soft fit', easily removed for dock charging as the case increases the size of the phone, access for 'i' cable charging can be done without removing the case.
Material:
The case is a soft rubber which has a slight tac (mildly sticky - because it's a soft material) - This provides some inherent grip on some surface e.g. dry dashboards (with reasonable driving) but also attracts fluff from your pockets, this is easily rubbed off but might be an issue for some people. The slight tac may pass with age but expect the rubber to retain its flexibility.
Summary:
The screen remains the most vulnerable part of the phone but because of the touch function, it is difficult to protect short of a flip lid or a tough removable sock (generally achieved by expensive leather cases). With this caveat, the impact protection this product provides is excellent.

Very strong protection for your phone
Nice protector

My job usually makes me quite careless with my phone but this cover has been fantastic and is nowhere near as bulky as most of the other heavy duty covers.
