Mr. Edward Gregory and Lord Richard Mottesford are traveling through London and must suddenly stop his horses as a young child carelessly runs in front of them. Lord Mottesford goes to teach the child a lesson but before he can Miss Prudence stops him.
Lord Richard wages he can break her heart all the while Prudence's cousin hears them discuss the wager and tells Prudence.
While he takes her to various outings, she takes the opportunity to discuss his cousin's problems(Miss Samantha) she is having with her vulgar stepmother. She feels since Lord Mottesford inherited his uncle's wealth and estate that he must also be responsible to oversee her London season as well as introducing Samantha to proper gentlemen.
If I could I would give this book 3 1/2 stars because there wasn't enough depth to the characters and I really didnt feel there was enough interaction to see that he could love her in such a short time. The various characters and plot were interesting but it just felt flat since the book was too short. Clean romance.
