as a 34-tear old recent bride , I must say -- what a great look at the the real doubts women have (other than goldiggers) when the ring is on the finger and there are still twelve loooong months left to consider one's decision. no man or woman is perfect, and OE addresses those quandries with genuine honesty and wit. it's possible that people ... who have not gone through this will not relate . we leave them to their television dramas, memories of past relationships and fish that got away, and their somewhat pollyanna ideals .but still, I always fall on the side ofthe authentic......and this book strcuk me as truly well-meant and perhapsh ahead of its time. lets face it - women (most of them) want to get married, and this book faces that ambiguous desire stright on......

I found the honesty and humor refreshing and I could NOT put this book down. the london times gave it a great review and I foir once agree with the media. a compelling, honest look at tosay's complex relationships. hurrah!
