This is the best book I have read in a very long time, possibly the best book I have EVER read. I recommend it especially for people who are familiar with the Norwich area as this makes the stories come to life and feel incredibly personal and familiar. Humphrey has an incredible knack of creating very real and well-developed characters in surreal circumstances. The humanity Humphrey brings to these characters makes their unusual situations seem more than ordinary, giving them an eerie but brutal honesty about human nature. This really is a book you can't put down and it leaves you feeling like a different person when you finish each story. Absolutely amazing.
