Disperse wax with clinically proven drops
Cleanse ear with gentle, easy to use syringe. Otex Express Combi Pack contains a bottle of Otex ear drops and a bulb syringe which are used to help remove hardened wax from the ear canal. The ear drops work by breaking down the ear wax into small pieces, and the bulb syringe may be used after treatment to rinse out remaining ear wax or ear drops. Excessive, hardened ear wax is quite common. It causes problems when it builds up and blocks the ear canal. The first symptom is usually a feeling of discomfort and fullness in the ear. This can become painful and cause dizziness and some loss of hearing if left untreated. Otex Express Combi Pack makes removal of ear wax easier, and in many cases avoids the need for ear syringing by a doctor or nurse. I get blocked ears every year or two, possibly because I have a small ear canal. I usually use Otex or Boots eardrops and in the past they have worked after about a week. However, this time I've been using them for the last two weeks to no avail. I came across the Otex combi product and decided out of desperation to give it a go. It was a last ditch attempt to avoid a trip to the doctor to have my ear syringed. Anyway, I got home tonight, used the bulb syringe and within 15 minutes the wax was falling out. It took a while of pumping in water for things to start working but when it did, I was amazed at how good it was.
My hearing has been impaired for the last two weeks so you can imagine how I felt when I suddenly regained full hearing. To say I'm thrilled with this product is an understatement. I can see from the other reviews that it doesn't work for everyone but it's definitely worth a go if you've had no luck with the drops alone. Also, I read a piece of medical research (UK based) on bulb syringe usage for ear wax and it appeared to have a fairly good success rate. The aim of the research was to ascertain it's potential effectiveness as an alternative to medical syringing and the analysis was generally favourable. I doubt I can post a link to this but you can google for the research.
A product like this is never going to work for everyone but for the price it's definitely worth a shot if you've exhausted ear drops.

Great stuff this worked for me after 2 days of using the ear drops, i had gone to the doctors and she said it was so blocked that she could not see the ear drum, she then booked me to have them syringed in 7 days time.
I didnt want to wait that long so decided to give otex combi a try, IM SO GLAD I DID :-) i can now hear again!! great product that really works!

Very impressed with this product. My elderly mother had both her ears totally blocked with ear wax, being housebound she could not get into her GP's surgery for treatment, and the district nurse service would not syringe ears at home !!! What could I do to help with this frustrating situation - answer do some research on the internet and find this wonderful product. Forget olive oil, one treatment with Otex, and use the bulb syringe the next day lots of lovely wax removed, and my mothers hearing restored, not to mention my sanity ~(no more shouting). !!!

Don't do it! Visit your GP/nurse or use olive oil.

Some perseverence required

not able to test correctly

Otex works fine but you must apply treatment correctly
The important thing to realise when you try to 'de-wax' your ear canals is that wax must be softened first before attempting to syringe. Read more
