Product Description

Size: 750ml

nterior use Professional finish for wooden, cork and OSB floors Also for furniture and joinery 2 coats - satin-matt Extremely wear resistant and durable Water and dirt repellent Easy to maintain (washable) 1L covers approx 12 mtr sq with 2 coats Highly recommended for unfinished hardwood floorings Resistance of hardwood floors treated with Osmo Hardwax Oil is higher than the floors treated with common wax and varnish finishes, because Osmo Wax reaches deeply in the wood and keeps it strong and lusty. Osmo Wax prevents timber of drying up and crumbling. Preparation: Wood surface must be cleaned and dry (moisture content max.20%).Clean or slightly sand old micro-porous finishes, remove old varnishes (Osmo Paint Remover or sanding) Small dents and holes in the wood can be filled with Osmo Woodfiller. If required(rough surfaces) sand before application using sandpaper not coarser than grain 150.Remove dust carefully. Maintenance: For daily cleaning use duster, mop, vacuum cleaner or floor polisher(a Hoover vacuum cleaner and Polisher is very useful).Floor can be cleaned with a dump cloth (add Osmo Wash and care to the water) and wipe dry as usual.-For heavier stains and regular maintenance Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner is recommended. Ingredients: Based on natural vegetable oils and waxes (sunflower-oil, soybean-oil, thistle-oil, carnauba-wax, candelilla-wax), paraffine. Siccatives (drying agents) and water repellent additives. Solvent: Disaromatized white spirit (benzene-free, complying with the purity demands of the European Pharmacopoeia.) Storage: Can be stored up to 5 years or more if can is full and tightly closed. Store in dry place. If thickened by frost it will regain normal consistency under normal temperatures within 24-36 hours. If you require any other Osmo products for interior or exterior use please contact me by e.mail or telephone: 01256 811500.

I purchased top-grade, 20mm, prime European oak flooring for my house in the West Country and used Osmo Polyx to seal it. This is a totally amazing product and the results are superb. If you have any 'mishap', simply sand it away and reapply the Osmo. I used Clear Satin and it repels just about everything, including mud and red wine. I am a fan of all things German and this has repaid my confidence. Even in my entrance hall the floor is superbly protected. Now I am going to use it on my new kitchen floor. I have decades of experience of being a DIY-er so I feel confident at recommending it.

My only criticism is that i did not find out about this product earlier. At first glance looks expensive but coverage is excellent, finish is excellent. I can not fault this product

Whilst this is expensive the finish is excellent! Applied 2 coats with a Dulux brush that I purchased from B & Q (the one that is in a set of 3 and handle coloured blue with a can opener at the end)and found it very easy to apply. I would describe the end result between matt and satin which I like very much. The oil goes quite a long way. Would use again.

I used this on our wooden kitchen butchers block work surface. It gave an excellent finish. Care you only need a small amount so a 1 litre tin will go along way. Easy to apply and work in - I used a sponge which worked well. Don't get this oil on painted surfaces as they will discolour

Paying slightly over the odds is so worth it for the right product and quality finish. This is better than Ronseal etc etc Good delivery as well. I bought a tin to do oak kitchen work tops. I have put on the 3 thin coats as suggested (and is enough for the finish still at this stage better than Ronseal etc) but put on a further 2 coats, still have just under half a tin left. Over the years I've done alot of D.I.Y projects and worked with wood, treating it floors tops units. I won't buy any other varnish or wax other than this one from now one.
