Oscar dives into the lake is a gentle cd-rom and might not be suitable for very bouncy children. Oscar the balloonist lands next to a lake & sets off to explore the environs. The ability to see each creature encountered (duck, frog, perch, grass snake, beaver, dragonfly & mussel) in each season, via the 'seasons balloon' is enjoyed by my 6 year old. There are some fun activities, some of which can only be accessed after they are 'found' by clicking on the screen (this can be fun or frustrating, depending on your point of view). The graphics are lovely, but there is too much chat & we haven't found a way to bypass it. It's not as good as 'Oscar & the farm' & doesn't get taken off the shelf terribly often.
