This is the second edition (2008) and covers all of the important aspects about showing, managing, the different varieties and breed standards and the history of the Orpington. The authors are more than qualified, Will Burdett MBE being commonly regarded as 'Mr. Orpington' having spent most of his life with Orpingtons, including being the keeper of the late Queen Mum's Buff Orpingtons for 25 years and Dr. Joseph Batty who has published well over 100 articles on various breeds as well as being chairman of the World Bantam and Poultry society. This book is in my opinion a must read for anyone wanting to show Orpingtons, it is also a valuable read if you breed orpingtons and want to know a little more about colours and the genetics of the colours. This book contains many colour and black and white photos. Many of the photos are understandably old and a little blured in places but overall, is very well illustrated.
