Orphans is excellent 8 Nov 2011
By Noel V. Bourasaw - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
I would like to recommend this book highly if it is still in print and available. I publish the largest internet history resource in Northwest Washington and am writing my own books about history of the town that Ollie references, Sedro-Woolley, Washington. When I was early in this project, I worked with Ollie when she was researching her book and offered what I could to help. Meanwhile, her research helped me understand more about one of our pioneer publishing families. For anyone interested in the frontier experience along with early newspapering, this is for you.
