She writes regularly for The Country Gardener magazine and lectures widely, as well as maintaining her own two-acre garden. Sally has also written Practical Propagation for The Crowood Press [2008]. Comprehensive, great photos, lots of "how to" with "gotchas", helpful hints on top of all the basics, one or two things I don't see in many veg books (like how to build a rabbit-proof fence which is pretty important if that's your problem) and it doesn't make assumptions about you or your garden or your budget, there's plenty here for the frugal. My only slight gripe is that I found the combination of layout and typefaces for headings made it a little difficult to navigate my way around and find exactly what I was looking for at any one time. But it's a small gripe and I would definitely recommend this book.
