enjoyable, 4 Oct 2006
This review is from: Orizon: The Flame of the White Sun (Paperback)
Mario Routi's debut novel, originally in Greek (in which language it was a best-seller), has now been translated into English by Eugenia Kollia. The book is inspired by Greek mythology and social philosophy, both subjects obviously dear to Mr. Routi's heart, and painted in his book with warmth and appreciation.
The plot moves on with alacrity and the characters, including Pegasus, a minotaur, and the two Gorgons whose sister Medusa was slain by Perseus, are colourfully drawn.
Most readers will find a lot to agree with in Mr. Routi's philosophy, which is perfectly readable and comprehensible.
The book is certainly enjoyable reading.

For Fantasy and non Fantasy Readers, 5 Aug 2006
This review is from: Orizon: The Flame of the White Sun (Paperback)
This book is suitable for all kind of readers. It combines many things that will please everybody. Being a fantasy reader, at first I felt a bit strange to read philosophy in an adventure book. However, I finally enjoyed it, as the balance between reality and fantasy is brilliantly kept. I would therefore highly recommend this book, especially to young adults. I believe it deserves its official reviews. I cant understand how can there be readers that criticise it, as its like trying to say that the "British Fantasy Society", "The Tolkien Society" and many others, (not to mention its thousands of readers who made it an international best seller), are idiots.

A different novel!, 5 Jun 2006
This review is from: Orizon: The Flame of the White Sun (Paperback)
It was a joy reading this book. Great read. A real page turner! It is quite diiferent than the usual fantasy titles, but still is very rich in fantasy, action and adventure. The script is cool! The deeper meanings of Orizon however are truly interesting and prove the authors talent. Simple but great writting. It'll make you want more.
