4.0 out of 5 stars Back on target 18 April 2013
By Bob
Format:Kindle Edition
I received this ebook free to read and review.
I did think that the previous volume although good was slowing down with more of the same rebuilding after nuclear attack and I kept waiting for the alien attack which although hinted at never really happened. At first I thought this book would be the same but after a while it became pure science fiction with space ships and battles in space. The pace then picked up and it again became an exciting read but still allowed for plenty of character development including that of some who were more minor characters in the previous volumes. I particularly liked Brigadier Tran Pham "spooky" and am still not sure if he is one of the good or bad guys.
I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Moves from Dystopia to Sci-fi 9 Mar. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The five previous books in the series I read in a matter of days, almost couldn't wait for the next one. I seem to have stalled with The Orion Plague, the plague that sort of wasn't. I am confused with Spooky, is he a good guy or a bad one. Most characters from previous books have disappeared or have very minor roles. I'm not sure whether to go for the next book in the series as the whole thing has moved from dystopia on earth to pure off the planet sci-fi which I think is the reason it took a while to read. Unless it is very clever, I find most sci-fi a bit boring. I don't understand why the story had to move off planet. I think there is better and broader scope evolving other storylines (god I am starting to sound a bit pompous) from previous characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars It keeps getting better... 26 Sept. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It all starts with an idea that might not like completely original, as other authors in the past explored similar themes, but the the Plague Wars series evolves into something completely different, presenting you characters that will become like friends to end up into Space for an Epic Saga that could easily be made into great movies!
