Product Description

Size Name: 13kg

Whole Prey Orijen Adult Dog Food made with cage-free Cobb chicken and turkey, eggs and wild caught fish is a biologically appropriate diet for fully-grown dogs of all breeds and sizes.

Orijen dog food is made in Alberta, Canada by an independent family-owned company from fresh Canadian ingredients. Orijen follows a new concept in pet nutrition: biologically appropriate dog food.

A biologically appropriate dog food matches the anatomy of the dog, keeping in mind today's modern lifestyle of regular feeding and less movement which results in a reduced caloric requirement.

Orijen dog food is different from other pet foods:
- Higher protein content from fresh meat
- Contains no cereals
- Few carbohydrates
- Rich in fruits and vegetables
- Herbs and probiotic bacteria to promote health

High protein content from fresh meats: Dogs are naturally carnivores; their short digestive tract is designed to consume and metabolize a meat-based, protein-rich diet low in carbohydrates. Dogs are very effective at utilizing protein as a source of energy. Only a meat-based food ensures the optimal health and vitality of your dog. Orijen dog food contains at least 80% meat, featuring regional Canadian ingredients that arrive at the factory fresh - never frozen or dried.
- Fresh Canadian chicken: easily digestible proteins and fats
- Fresh Canadian turkey: provides essential amino acids and natural vitamin B3
- Freshly caught lake whitefish (Coregonus clupeaformis) from Canadian lakes
- Freshly caught Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha): high levels of activated omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) for healthy skin and a shiny coat
- Fresh eggs from Canadian farms: high quality protein, lutein and zeaxanthin to help reduce risk of chronic eye diseases

Well how do I start, lied to misinformed I could go on.my dog developed an allergy ,I paid a fortune blood tests antibiotics steroids ,even anti allergy vaccine from holland.my dog was on PURINA sensitive.after another visit to the vets and going over my dogs blood test results.I lost my temper as he went through all the Latin names and the two worst ones were wheat and grain mites, then said they are in dry dog food.So for all these months I had been failing my best friend .i put him on this food and he started improving and thank god he is getting better everyday he is off PURINA .when you think your doing the best buying shiny bag with good PR ,please do some research and hopefully you may chance on some honest advise.thank you for reading this.

Switched my Golden Retriever puppy to the ORijen Large Puppy after four months on the Hills Presc tinned food as he constantly had runny poops. have not looked back and he has progressed to Adult ORijen and at 17months old is in excellent condition. His Vet commented on his perfect weight (GR's prone to excess weight) and condition.
You only need to read the reviews on any respected web site and also look up the ORIJEN home site to appreciate the quality of this product. No grain or fillers or "abattoir" sweepings ! It might appear expensive but as it is such high quality, I feed him 2 cups a day, and the 13kg bag lasts a couple of months.
Highly recommended !

My Border Terriers love this! I have never seen them so enthusiastic at mealtimes & although it looks expensive, one has to look at the daily amount fed rather than the price of the bag. Because Orijen contains no fillers or artificial ingredients, I only need to feed minuscule amounts.
I began giving this to my dogs after watching a TV programme on dog food & consequently doing some internet research.
I discovered that dogs have absolutely no need whatsoever for cereals & grains. Dogs are carnivores. Their teeth & jaws are designed for eating meat, not grinding like a ruminant. Cereals & grains turn into sugar which could eventually lead to a dog to contracting Diabetes. Orijen does not contain any of these. The list of human grade ingredients is transparent with the first 16, yes, 16, all proper meat. NO "derivatives of animal origin" which essentially could mean chicken beaks, chicken feet, undeveloped eggs, livestock not fit for human consumption due to antibiotics or poisons in their systems when they died. NO oils/fats of vegetable origin...where does that come from? Discarded by fish & chip shops? I haven't a clue. What I do know is, I will never, ever feed my dogs anything again unless I can understand the ingredients on the bag.
Orijen is about as good as it gets. 80% meat, 20% fruit & veg, 0% carbs & my dogs are thriving! Bright eyes, much happier in themselves & all their smells have gone!! No more bad breath, no doggie smell & odourless, small poo's & their coat's are the best they've ever been.
Enthusiastically recommended!

When our 6 year old Flat coated started slowing down and looking less glossy we naturally put it down to her age. Then we did our homework and changed her to the Orijen's food. Within days she was back to being a mad, playful puppy again and within weeks, her coat was glossy again. No one can believe her age now and she is wearing us out as we are backing playing all the puppy games she insisted on when she was little and even rediscovered all the her old puppy toys. I wish I'd known about this food earlier and wouldn't give her anything else now.

I was told that european dog food does not match the quality of American or Canadian food. This has a minimum of 80% meat. My dog thought this was a treat when he first smelt it. On speaking with a lady in pets are us, the best EU food only has 42% meat. So, double the quality of the the finest UK food, probably with the exception of Lily's.

Brutis loves orijen. I know it is more expensive than other brands and considerably more so than supermarket brands but this stuff is great. His coat is perfect and we often have comments about how good he looks which we put a lot of it down to his diet.

Our dog Jack loves this food and when we ran out of it recently he was not impressed with the substitute we gave him while we waited for our order. Fortunately it arrived well on time so dog and owner are on speaking terms again. Jack keeps very healthy on this food and it comes highly recommended by our trainer. See no reason to stop buying it.
