A pack of 216 - Original Nickel 4.76mm N42 Neodymium Magnet X-treme Puzzle Cube Sphere Magnets. The NORTH pole is on one side of the sphere and the SOUTH pole is on the opposite side.
Each magnet can support a steel weight of up to 0.55kg vertically from the magnetic face when in flush contact with a mild steel surface of equal thickness to the magnet. Each magnet can also support up to 0.11kgs (5 sheets of A4 paper) in a shear position before beginning to slide down a steel surface under the same conditions. These magnets are held in place by the Magnetic Face and have a maximum operating temperature of 80 degrees C.

These were purchased for daughter and she loves them. I thought she would get bored of them after 30 minutes but she enjoys making all sorts of shapes and 3d structures with them and has found many designs to copy from searching on the website. As they are fairly small it is easy to stick them in your pocket and take with you and mess around with them while you are waiting around - the magnetic property ensures that no balls get lost!

These things are brilliant. I bought them for myself thinking they were going to be a fairly short-term plaything. They turned out to be anything but. They are fantastic. Consider most magnets are rectangular with a fairly well defined North and South, these spherical little beggers defy belief. The shapes you can create are fantastic (if you are patient) and the fun never diminishes no matter what you do with them. I would heartly recommend them for 8+ year olds who will love experimenting (isn't that the best way for them to learn - about magnetics anyway) but not younger as due to the size a chocking hazard is a real risk, especially if more that one is swallowed at a time. That said, I am 40+ and have great fun with them and consistently finding new shapes and configurations. Get these, pull the cube into a long string of balls and see what you can do. I defy you to run out of ideas! Especialy if you get another cube of a different colour. A word of warning however, they do come in different sizes so make sure you order Neocubes of the same size (if you decide to get more than one)

Bought this toy as one of the birthday presents for my grandson (12 years of age) - he absolutely loved it! I was amazed at the versatility of the toy and what he could do with it. Would recommend it for any child of this age.
