Rather than buying a non HP ink, I saw the opportunity to save money by buying this product on Amazon and I have had no regret.

I ordered the HP cartridge through Amazon - I did not realise initially it was a Market Place purchase and when I did it was too late. I of course received the item as a blister pack not as pictured on the Amazon web site. There was no sell by/use by date which worried me. I contacted Amazon who forwarded my e-mail to Modern Ape. They replied telling me that a link which seemed to stretch across my screen showed that it would be a part of a multi-pack and that it would have a 6 month life. I still cannot find this info without that link and I really feel that Amazon should show what is being sold and not showing misleading info. If they must show the original pack there should be some easily noticed clause saying that the item sent may not be the item shown. I contacted Jersey Trading Standards who kept referring me to these long links which for the average user are not really helpful. I only hope that the ink is OK. This is the first time I have had to complain about the Amazon system in the 10 years I have been using them but it will make me wary of using the Market Place in future.

I read all the reviews about this item and was slightly disturbed by reports of multipack and out of date cartridges. Nevertheless I had bought from this seller before with no problems so I went ahead. When the item arrived I found that the outer packaging had definitely been opened and stuck with glue. I was also suspicious that the actual cartridge bubble pack had been resealed. You would not buy anything packaged in this way if you were in a shop so I don't want it from Amazon either. Disappointed.
