Original Honda cB750-Excellent reference and read 31 Oct 2005
By C. J. Ikin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
As a owner and restorer of the old 750 Honda, I am always looking for information and pictures to help make my bikes as original as possible.

At swap meets (autojumbles) a lot of parts( NOS and used) are sold as pertaining to this motorcycle, but often they are from different models. Parts books are useful to help identify these parts but are usually not detailed enough

The information from John Wyatt has been invaluable and in nearly all cases has filled a number of gaps that the parts books and manuals are missing. It complements the parts books of which I have every model, as the pictures and text give that extra information.

It was interesting reading about other models and the history of this bike as Honda developed it over 10 years. There was a lot of information about the variances that were supplied to different countries.

I have seen several original bikes and they all support the information in the book. In fact I verified a set of K0 fork internals with the help of the book.

There were only one or two small errors that I could find, which is pretty good considering the number of models detailed.

I have bought four books all pertaining to the CB750, but if I had to have only one, I would choose this one without hesitation.

If you are interested in restoring this bike, this is an essential reference to have in your library. Similarly if anyone was interested in buying a CB750, then their first step should be to read this book.

The Original CB750 12 Sep 2009
By John A. Goulet - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Basically I would want to reinforce the opinions of the first reviewer. This is a unique and highly informative book on a much revered motorcycle.

If you are studying or restoring a CB750, whether Sandcast or later, this book should be on your shelf. The details, production history and insights are great and the photos simply inspirational!!

We need to do whatever it takes to get a second edition in print as many people would love to own it but can't. Also John may have new information to contribute.

A CB750 Fan's Must Have 22 July 2014
By Michael W. Vachon - Published on Amazon.com

Truly a must-have for anyone interested in the iconic Honda CB750 of the early to late 70's. The book's focus is squarely on the introduction, development, and on-going changes the define each version of this landmark motorcycle. Although penned by a British author, John Wyatt goes the extra mile to cover all the markets served by Honda and not only identifies all the engineering changes that went into what models, he also provides details on which countries saw what variations. Having restored two K1 models myself, I felt Mr Wyatt's research and attention to detail were spot on. While not specifically a detailed how-to book on restoration, the details contained here are certainly valuable in learning what to look for on any given model of this series. Whether you own, want or just plain enjoy CB750s, you should definitely obtain this book.
