An interesting read,

Your interest in this book will probably depend upon your age. I found some of the facts about how the Highway Code and signage began very interesting. Even my children who are now grown up were interested in the early road signs. Probably the most interesting fact was the 'Stopping Distances' - they are the same in the latest 2007 edition as they were in the 1946 edition! Everyone who has picked up the book to flick through it has also spent a little time reading it.

Interesting little book showing reprints of the first versions of the highway code.
I am a Driving Instructor and my clients found it interesting also when I showed them some of the rules contained within the books. I use some of the information anecdotally when giving talks to groups on road safety. A great buy
