Although, I have seen examples of Maisie's work in cake magazines, I have only recently started to collect her books and I am so glad that I have. I make lots of children's cakes and can take ideas and characters from this book and adapt them to my own theme. This book is beautifully illustrated with detailed guides of how to make the characters. The cakes are striking and bold and Maisie gives examples of mini cakes using elements of each cake / theme.
I would definitely recommend this book for cake decorators of all abilities.

What a really lovely book.
The illistrations and photographs are detailed and the instructions simple, so even an amateur like myself can create a masterpiece of their own!

fun & original childrens cakes
My grand-children have already decided on the cake they would like me to do when their birthdays come around. I'm not very artistic so I hope they turn out as they look in the book
