I discovered Tom Paxton as a 14 year old, around the time of the release of 'Morning Again'
It was his music that sent me on a lifelong journey into the world that is folk music, that was 40 years ago!
I still have all of his albums from the 'Elektra' era on vinyl.....all signed too! and have seen him 'Live' more times than I can remember.
This box set is fantastic......remastered,sound perfect and full of classics.... too many to mention in this short review.
No more crackle or clicks from my old vinyl...... the turntable has long gone anyway!
I couldn't believe the price of this 5 album collection, so like many other L.P's that I have and have been replaced with CD's over the years I bought this collection and it's great.....
Buy it now! and I am sure you will not be disappointed!
I only have one regret, which will probably confuse those not familiar with the collection.
It's a 5 album box set, and the final album is titled '6'....yes! their is one missing from the 'original' first six albums. 'Aint that news!'
WHY? it's openly available. Is it a copyright/master tape owner thing?
If this is the case it's regrettable.
It's a five star collection......make it part of your collection!

I've liked Tom Paxton's music for as long as I can remember, and this set brings loads of old favourites together as well as some I haven't heard for age. And at a couple of quid per CD, really good value.

The original album series has until now featured well known artists like Emmylou Harris, Randy Newman, Carly Simon, etc... these were big hit-makers at the time. Read more
