In search of the perfect master this is the third time I've bought these cd's. Retail, Japanese issues and this one. This one is the best. No doubt about it.

Chaka Khan is well know as a Disco singer, but this is just the surface, she is a great soul and funky singer and this box set is very useful to understand her roots with most of her greatest hits not just assembled in one record.

What can i say that has not already been said,Chaka Khan is a very dynamic vocalist and I'm sure most poeple know this,but as someone who for years only knew her songs like I'm Every Woman,I feel For You,Through The fire from these albums,I decided to looked into her music more last year as I began listening to more old school artists.I loved her verion of 'I was mad to lover her' by Stevie Wonder, so many great songs on here my favourite alnum has to be What Cha' Gonna Do for me the funk/jazz/soul is wonderful.My favourite songs except from those stated above are Roll me through the rushes,Sleep on it (Phyllis Hyman also has a wonderful version),Got to be there, Slow dancin (rick james) ,Papllion (aka hot butterfly), So naughty,Night moods,Any old sunday,And the melody still lingers on,fate,What cha' gonna do for me,I know you,I live you and Stronger than before.
