5.0 out of 5 stars Still in print 28 Oct 2010
By Thomas P. Scheck - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This work, volume 1 (Books 1-5) of Origen's Commentary on the Epistle to the Romans (Fathers of the Church 103), has recently been reprinted in paperback by Catholic University of America Press. It is available for purchase directly from the CUAP website. For unknown reasons, ever since the hard back edition sold out, Amazon has been listing this work as out of print and unavailable. That applies only to the hardback edition. The work was reissued immediately in paperback and it can be purchased new from CUAP. The same will apply to the second volume (Books 6-10, FOTC 104) when it sells out in hardback. Go to the CUAP website. Hopefully, Amazon will update this information on their own website. Thomas P. Scheck, translator.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good study material 1 May 2011
By Mark D. Hornbogen - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I like reading Origen's viewpoints. I found the work on Genesis and Exodus more interesting than this one, but still am glad I bought the book. If you are not familiar with Origen, he was one of the most intellectual of the early church fathers. Because of his later views, the Catholic church excommunicated him, but this book does not contain those later ideas. He was martyred for his faith in Christ and remained a true hero in my opinion.
