5.0 out of 5 stars great, 22 Oct 2007

This review is from: Origami Quilts (Paperback)
I really loved that I was able to fold different things and make a great design out of it. It was fun. I could fold and fold for hours. It kept me busy. I would like to find another book like this with more origami quilts in it. I am searching... any ideas or suggestions?

5.0 out of 5 stars How to make beautiful paper mosaics and decorations, 31 Aug 1997
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Origami Quilts (Paperback)
Not about quilts in the classic sense (don't be mis-led by the "Home & Garden" link), this book is about making "quilts" or geometric quilt-like decorative patterns similar to tile mosaics, using origami (Japanese paperfolding) techniques. Tomoko Fuse is the reigning master of modular origami designs, in which multiple sheets of paper are folded into identical or similar shapes. These are then linked into larger objects, often three dimensional, but in this case, 2 dimensional mosaics. Some modular origami experience is recommended, plus a large supply of origami paper! But the results are spectacular! A must-have for any modular origami fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Origami Quilts: Suitable for Framing, 19 April 2008
By J2 "Keep your stick on the ice!" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Origami Quilts (Paperback)
In this volume, Fuse-san offers a nice addition to her boxes and kusudama. You can frame these lovely models and enjoy them on your walls! The models range from easy to very challenging. The instructions are pretty easy to follow--usual Fuse fun. If you're already a fan of Fuse-san, you'll love adding this beautiful book to your collection. If you're considering trying big-kid origami, Fuse-san is your friend!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not sure of a use for these quilts, 4 Nov 2007
By R. Mapleson - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Origami Quilts (Paperback)
Out of all Tomoko Fuse's books that I have, this is probably the most disappointing. I guess most of the problem is that I just can't see a use for Origami Quilts. The Kusudama Origami can be hung up, the boxes (Origami Boxes and Fabulous Origami Boxes) can be given as gifts and used to hold things, but the quilts?

As usual, I find the instructions easy to follow and you can create some great looking quilts. Just not sure what to do with them!
